About Trevor LaClair
I’m a biologist and wildlife guide who is passionate about the natural world. I've worked with animals for several years, both in captivity and in the wild. I've also explored places such as the Great Barrier Reef, Serengeti, and Komodo National Park. During my adventures, I've had incredible encounters such as a sea lion dance-off, a whale shark surprise, spit on by a cobra, and kissed by a wolf. Yeah, It was insane! I love animals, and I'm always searching for bigger and better adventures!

My epic journey began as a small town, farm boy from the Missouri Ozarks, where I grew up around numerous animals. During my childhood, I watched incredible wildlife TV hosts such as Steve Irwin, Jeff Corwin, and the Kratt Brothers. These celebrities ignited that fire which led me down the path as a wildlife guide and the creation of my YouTube channel, Trekking with Trevor.

After graduating from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor’s in Fisheries and Wildlife, I attended Miami University where I received my Master's in Biology. From then on, my passion grew and my adventures continued! I currently reside in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem where I spend a lot of time exploring and filming wildlife. I'm a certified wilderness first responder, swift water rescuer, and a scuba diver.

During my journey, I’ve worked in many places, explored unique environments, and learned new skills. My journey has yet to continue! I love having fun, making people smile, and going on adventures. I partake in a variety of outdoor activities such as backpacking, paddle sports, rock climbing, snowboarding, mountain biking, and more! May I also add that I’ve had a history of improv acting! Like I said, I love making people smile! However, I was a haunted town actor once. Not many people smiled unless they were laughing at fear… MUWHA HA HA HA!

As a biologist and explorer, you tend to learn that the road is long, rough, and sometimes strenuous. But hey, that’s all part of the fun! I didn’t choose my career for a life of ease. I became a guide so I can have a life of ADVENTURE! I love sharing my passion with people around the world. That is why I became a wildlife guide. Join me on my adventures. Then together we can explore and discover the beauty of nature.

Animals are my passion and the outdoors is my life!
